What’s the best Constellation Energy plan?
Electricity rates with Constellation Energy depend on the plan and contract length you choose. Some of the most popular Constellation plans are:
- 12 Month Flat Tier Product. Customers with this plan pay a flat fee of $85 per month for using up to 1,000 kWh. If you use 500 kWh one month but 800 kWh the next, you will still pay $85 each month.
- Power to Connect. This plan adds in home security alongside energy services. When you sign up, you’ll receive Constellation security products and be enrolled in a home monitoring plan.
- 36 Month Usage Bill Credit. On this plan, customers receive a $35 bill credit for using more than 1,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) and an extra $15 for using more than 2,000 kWh.
Not all plans are available in all areas, and your usage will be the biggest factor in finding the right Constellation plan for you. When you sign up with Atlas, we’ll help you sort through these considerations and more.
Is Constellation a good company?
To make sure we’re offering our users the best of the best, we rate the electricity providers we work with. Companies can earn up to five stars. Here’s how Constellation did:
Constellation Energy rating: 4.7 stars
Constellation is praised for its satisfaction guarantee and long business history. It also boasts an A+ rating and accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, alongside online bill pay, online chat, and usage alerts. The only place the company fell short was its average complaint score with the Public Utility Commission of Texas, at 3 out of 5.
Which provider has the cheapest Texas electricity rates?
It’s hard to say for sure. Beyond the fact that rates change daily, the cheapest rates don’t always lead to the lowest bills. A provider may display a rate for 500 kWh of electricity, but if you use 1,500 kWh your rate could be different. Then there are bill credits, usage tiers, time-of-use and many other features to add in.
That’s where Atlas comes in. We built our custom algorithm to make sure our users are considering how their energy bill will look at all usages and all times of year. Texans use on average twice as much electricity in August than they do in April, so we understand that we need to look at the big picture to find you the right plan.
We’re not just trying to find you a plan that works right now. We’re trying to chart a path between you and low energy bills – permanently.
